HOOVER ISC-20 Infant Small Child Life Preserver
Hoover Industries' Infant Small Child Life Preserver is intended for use by
infants aboard aircraft during over water emergencies. The revolutionary design
of Hoover's Infant Small Child Life Preserver has several features not found
in any other existing infant life preserver, such as protection from the elements
and total protection from hypothermia which is provided by the "survival
capsule" concept and the thermal protection vest. Its intent is to replace
the conventional vest and "baby cot". A towing bridle and lifting
handle faciliate rescue operations. The full view window permits the infant's
adult companion to constantly monitor the condition of the infant. Two large
ports provide air circulation and, at the same time, prevent the entrance
of water into the capsule. A large ballast bag ensures stable flotation.
Infant Small Child Life Preservers are manufactured with the highest quality
materials, meeting or exceeding regulatory specifications, have both oral
and CO2 inflation systems and are packaged in a fire-retardant bag.
